The specialist team here at Stellar recently had the pleasure of meeting with the GM of Exploration within this international petroleum group. Through the detailed discussions, we were given a genuine insight into their international capabilities and their success story to date. This incorporates the exploration and development of Australia’s richest, proven CSG tenements situated here on the east coast.
With the confirmation of the newly appointed exploration manager, they have called upon Stellar to identify two Senior/ Lead Project Geologists to drive the exploration program from its infancy into full scale field development.
Based in the heart of [Location], your primary responsibilities will include:
· Quantitative appraisals of CSG prospects including saturation, permeability, composition, desorption and reservoir characteristics
· Liaison with senior field geologists, drilling contractors, land owners and fellow staff for the planning and management of project/ exploration activities
· Monitor and plan cost effective coring and logging programs
· Development and planning of projects and the technical evaluation of CSG tenements
· Data interpretation, prospect generation and analysis of existing
To be considered for this opportunity, your background and qualifications will include:
· Tertiary qualifications in Geology or Earth Science (Hons or MSc is desirable)
· 7+ years relevant experience working within a similar capacity, preferably with an owner’s team
· Strong communication skills with the ability to easily build rapport and interact with other divisions, contractors and stakeholders
· A multi-disciplined geologist with exploration experience gained in the oil & gas sector
· Proactive problem solver who can lead from the front and enjoy being hands on
