Reporting to the Business and Insights Manager, this role is responsible for developing, executing, interpreting and communicating the Market Research Programme including secondary internal and external data as relevant to serving defined Marketing Information requirements.
The incumbent is expected to determine the strategic information needs of the BU and thus be able to produce and communicate appropriate reporting using effective marketing research techniques and data sources.
This role is a key role to informing the development of the marketing strategy in terms of recommending markets, products, channels, promotions, and pricing.
Key accountabilities
- Facilitate and develop marketing information requirements with relevant stake holders in the Southern African Fuels Value Chain.
- Secure information resources required to produce relevant marketing insights
- To recommend appropriate research methodology and data sources.
- Co-ordinate and manage marketing research work aimed at providing insight into the defined problem.
- Maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stake holders, including suppliers and [Company].
- Produce appropriate insights to defined marketing problems or information requests.
- Interpret and communicate marketing insights to all key stake holders.
- Input marketing insights into decision making and marketing planning.
- Analyse and create marketing reports on internal and external data.
- Facilitate the creation of predictive modelling for marketing measurement.
- Report data into a Marketing Measurement Dashboard.
- Provide relevant information on competitor marketing activity.
- Provide operational support on research tracking studies.
Essential criteria & qualifications Education
- B Comm or an equivalent degree
Desirable criteria & qualifications Experience
- 3 - 5 years experience in the design, analysis, and reporting of market research.
- Experience in the analysis of sales or other internal data or data modelling.
- Experience in the use of reporting tools.
Travel required
