Essential Responsibilities
- Use of Pro-Engineer to cater for large assemblies, large fabricated structures, precision machined detailed components and related drawings in accordance with BS8888.
- There may be the occasional requirement for the use of Pro-Mechanica
- Data management in Pro-Engineer using PDMLink (version 9), including:
- Folder creation, file renaming, family table/library object maintenance, drawing format creation, material files, pipe stock. Must be able to work with global and local teams of Pro-E and PDMLink administrators to drive standardization across all sites
- Pro-Engineer setup and configuration to include: Load points, configuration file options (config.pro, config.sup, config.win, mapkey generation).
- Use of AutoCAD (latest version used 2009) to include drawing commands, drawing format/template maintenance, library object creation and maintenance, and drafting in accordance with BS8888.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in Pro-Engineer (Wildfire 2/3) to include, but not be limited to, the following basic modules/functionality: Pro-Detail, Part Feature Modeling, Large Assembly Management, Family tables, User Defined Features, Simplified Reps, Copy Geometry techniques, Pro-Piping, and Relations
- Demonstrable experience in Pro-engineer setup and configuration to include: Load points, configuration file options (config.pro, config.sup, config.win, mapkey generation).
- Admin experience required in Pro-E data management using PDMLink (version 9) to include, but not be limited to: folder creation, file renaming, family table/library object maintenance, drawing format creation, material files, pipe stock.
- Must be able to work with global and local teams of Pro-E and PDMLink administrators to drive standardization across all sites.
- Demonstrable experience in AutoCAD (latest version used 2009) to include, but not be limited to: all drawing commands, drawing format/template maintenance, library object creation and maintenance, drafting in accordance with BS8888.
- A thorough understanding of drafting techniques in terms of view layout/types, dimensioning methods, Geometric and linear tolerance methods and basic manufacturing techniques is a must.
Desired Characteristics
- Some knowledge of Pro-Mechanica is advantageous but not essential.
