Role Summary/Purpose
This role provides an exceptional opportunity for someone who is looking for an interesting and challenging role. Reporting to the General Manager, the role has a number of facets of which the most significant is supporting a very busy and demanding GM across his business interests both internally and externally, managing his diary and commitments, and organizing very complex itineraries.
Essential Responsibilities
The role involves a high degree of interaction at the most senior level across the organization and with key external business contacts. Strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task is therefore key to this role. The right applicant will be comfortable with executing processes efficiently and effectively. It is essential that candidates have proven experience at a Senior PA level.
- Provide direct day-to-day support to the GM and the management of his office, which includes:
- Calendar management and proactively managing his time and commitments, by working closely with his team.
- Proactively organize all aspects of meetings at all levels of organization.
- Planning of complex travel and relevant associated activities.
- Dealing with correspondence and being the first point of contact, through effective written and oral communication, including the review of all incoming communication to his office and prioritizing as appropriate.
- Build productive working relationships with all key contacts.
- Experience in developing strong working relationships in previous roles at all levels.
This is a senior PA role requiring experience of working at the most senior secretarial level. The jobholder requires a thorough understanding of complex organization dynamics, together with good communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive issues. At this level the individual has a comprehensive understanding of the operation of the organization, its structure and procedures used.
This is not a ‘9-5’ role and a flexible approach is therefore a prerequisite.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Perfect knowledge of Arabic and English fluency is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, global mindset
- High level of organization skills, including complex calendar and travel management
- Experience of working in a past paced, highly confidential environment
- Excellent communication skills – written and oral
- Initiative and problem solving ability
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Demonstrable executive PA experience
- Professional demeanor and interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships at all levels
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience of working in a high pressure environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to work on own initiative, independently and as part of a team
