Essential Responsibilities
Work in a global and multi-disciplinary team, developing large electric drive systems product for diverse and emerging Oil & Gas applications
 
You will take a leading design role for:
  • mechanical-thermal design, analysis, and optimization for high performance power building block, such as IGCT, IGBT or SCR power stack
  • mechanical-thermal design, analysis, and optimization for large electric drive line-up
  • mechanical design for electrical interconnect and mechanical assemblies, such as bus works, clamps
  • cooling system and cabinet design
  • component selection, including pumps, heat sinks for press-pack devices
 
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Master or above degree in Mechanical, Thermal or Electrical Engineering with more than 5 years experience;
  • Strong product design experience and analytical skills in mechanical and thermal design for high power electronics products
  • Strong hands-on lab experimental skills
  • Solid understanding and experience in integrated mechanical-thermal-electrical design approach
  • Experience with relevant product and safety standards for mechanical design
  • Experience in Design for Maintainability for mechanical and thermal design
  • Experience in Design for Reliability, qualification protocol, reliability demonstration and growth
  • Experience with mechanical design tools such as ProEngineer, Unigraphics, Autocad;
  • Experience with mechanical analysis tools such as ANSYS, ABACUS;
  • Experience with electromagnetic and thermal simulation tools such as Ansoft Q3D and Fluent Icepak
  • "Can do"" attitude, embrace challenge with enthusiasm
  • Quick learner, self starter
  • Team player with strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Goal oriented with strong ability to deliver
  • High curiosity with broad technical interests
  • Good written and oral English skills.
 
Desired Characteristics
  • Experience with mechanical design and cooling system design for IGCT, GTO or LCI power converter product
  • Experience with water-cooled high power drive product design
  • Experience in six-sigma and Design for Reliability methodology
  • Experience with [Company] NPI process
  • Team leading experience and capability
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas applications, such as LNG, pipeline compression, gas re-injection, subsea
  • Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance and Expectations
