Job Description:
- Efficient and effective management of New Ventures E&P data management environment.
- Discovery of data sources for required data.
- Capture, loading, quality control, replication, and reporting of data.
- Working with R2 Team Leader, E&P Data Management, to ensure New Ventures E&P databases are consistent with [Company] Energy E&P data management standards.
- Providing technical guidance to New Ventures Geo-technicians.
- Representing New Ventures on the E&P data governance board.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equiv. in geoscience, engineering or drilling with 8+ years experience managing E&P technical data for large independent or major oil & gas firms.
- Experience with US and international E&P data. Petra, SMT, DataVera, ESRI, Production Access/Operation Center, and PPDM experience highly desirable.
- Excellent team and individual leadership skills and oral/written communication skills.
- Able to: work in a fast-paced environment, make decisions in an environment of ambiguity and conflicting information, deal effectively with employees of many disciplines--geoscience, engineering, drilling, IT.
- Skilled in development of new and innovative ideas, processes, and strategies to solve business issues within a strategic framework.
- Initiative to pursue tasks, goals, and opportunities with persistence and perseverance to sustain momentum.
- Influence to build support with peers and management.
- Skilled in mentoring and teaching E&P data management methodologies
