This mid-sized organisation has strategically positioned itself within Queensland's [Location] and also boasts interests in a promising international location. Our client is enjoying the success of two pilot wells that are now in production and thrilled about another that is soon to come on-line. Due to continued growth and expansion we are now looking for an experienced Drilling Manager to join their team immediately. This growing organisation has recently aligned themselves with a global petroleum group that is concentrating on the production of LNG resulting in guaranteed career development on a global scale.
To meet their calculated growth plans, that incorporates: exploration, technical engineering and senior management, the immediate focus is for the Drilling Manager which will play a critical role within their Exploration & Production teams. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working out of the head office in [Location] you will oversee the drilling program. You will frequently travel to site to ensure that the operations remain inline with your expectations.
The standout Drilling Manager would have a proven background in:
· Managing drilling programs on coal seem gas wells
· Overseeing the subsurface aspects of a development program
· A thorough working knowledge of workover and completion wells
· Pre-drill assessment and economic evaluation of drilling prospects
· Previous exposure in a Client or Operator environment is critical
· Bachelors Degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 15 years experience in drilling operations
