Overview:
 
[Company] is seeking a self-motivated individual to fill the role of Offsites Ground Disturbance Coordinator at our Foster Creek Location.  Foster Creek is located approximately 1.5 hours Northwest of Cold Lake, AB or 1.5 hours North of Bonnyville, AB. This position will work a shift schedule of 8 days on, 6 days off ; 10 hours per day.
 
Reporting to the Field Production Coordinator, this position will be responsible for handling all ground disturbance requests within the Field Production Operations and Athabasca Gas Groups. This candidate will also be required to work closely with the Onsite Construction Teams Ground Disturbance Coordinators.
 
Responsibilities:
  • act as [Company] Foster Creeks Field Operations and Athabasca Gas groups representative specializing in Ground Disturbance Permitting
  • ensure Ground Disturbance users adhere to EnCana’s Safety and Environmental policies
  • responsible for field audits to ensure safe and regulatory compliance of specific ground disturbances that are assigned to all Ground Disturbance projects
  • ensure Ground Disturbance users are in compliance of specifications, applicable codes and Local / Provincial / Federal regulations
  • ensure contractors have Ground Disturbance Permits prior to commencement of work
  • inform Field Production Coordinator of any changes to scope, near misses, incidents, accidents or concerns
  • responsible for daily reporting, planning and scheduling of tasks and updating applicable parties
  • ensure all documentation is completed in an expedient manner and files are up to date and captured in an orderly fashion
  • ensure as-builts are up to date
  • attend [Company] Safety meetings
  • assist in accident / incident investigations
  • organize third party contractors and approving of contractor daily time tickets as required
  • travel from Cold Lake or Bonnyville to site and return will be provided by bus transportation
Qualifications:
  • must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • 5 - 7+ years construction experience in the oil & gas sector
  • experience in construction within an operating plant and field environment
  • strong understanding of codes, practices and procedures relating to ground disturbance
  • must possess an up to date Ground Disturbance Level 2 Certificate
  • strong leadership and team skills
  • well developed organization, communication and interpersonal skills
  • proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • willing to work a shift schedule of 8 days on, 6 days off ; 10 hours per day
