This position reports to the Asset team Manager.


Description:

  • As a member of an Asset Team, manages the daily operations of assigned oil and gas field(s) and supervises the technical and administrative personnel.
  • Manages and supervises specific operations according to geographic area to achieve goals within available resources; plans and organizes workloads and staff assignments; trains, motivates, and evaluates assigned staff; and reviews progress and directs changes as needed.
  • Provides input in the development of short and long-range operations studies, reports, and recommendations.
  • Monitors daily production from assigned fields to sustain maximum sales volumes for assigned geographic area of company’s assets. Supervises and approves procedures for workovers, re-completions, and formation stimulations.
  • Reviews well files and develops procedures and cost estimates for authorization for expenditures (AFE) for recompletions and complex workovers.
  • Obtains bids and coordinates equipment and personnel for the field operations. Reviews and approves all operated and non-operated authorization for expenditures (AFE), for the assigned area.
  • Monitors daily production activities, weekly cash flow projections, and non-op workover reports.
  • Develops company cash projection pertaining to well activities on a monthly basis. Resolves operations problems identified by accounting and land departments. Reviews and approves purchase order (PO) log, authorization for expenditures (AFE) invoices, invoices over established limit, and approves all contracts related to operations (i.e. gauging, utility, compressor, etc.).
  • Participates in senior staff, operations, acquisition, exploitation, and lifting cost meetings. Conducts field visits to company-operated assets to evaluate operations and maintain a safe and environmentally conscience workplace.
  • Reviews Lease Operating Statements (LOS) for operated and non-operated properties and responds to variances.
  • Conducts field visits to prospective properties to be acquired to identify methods to increase production, lower expenses, and address safety issues.
  • Coordinates activities and resolutions to problems with land, reservoir, and drilling departments to ensure efficiency.
  • Completes special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in mechanical, civil, electrical, or petroleum engineering.
  • Ten (10) years minimum oil and gas production field operations experience.
  • Ability in developing self-directed teams to meet performance goals.
  • Ability in developing team momentum, enthusiasm, and pride in company when accomplishing company goals.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong, dynamic team leadership skills.
  • Ability to solve problems accurately and exceptional proficiency in interpreting production related data.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable manner.
  • Self-starter with proven leadership skills, team player, comfortable working under pressure, and dedicated to developing workforce.
  • Outstanding management, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License and driving record free of violations in order for company to secure automobile insurance for the employee.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Preferred: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
