Job Description:
The Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring application of appropriate standards and levels of quality in design, engineering, equipment manufacture, fabrication, installation, hook-up and commissioning (HUC) and documentation through all project stages. The successful candidate will also be responsible for establishing project quality programs. Ensuring compliance with the Company Integrity Management Standard will be a high priority.
Job Duties And Responsibilities:
- Ensure each project executed in the subsea group has adequate Quality Engineering resources.
- Develop Project Quality Objectives.
- Develop Project Quality Plans.
- Ensure Project Quality Plans and Objectives are in-line with Company Global Quality Management Standards and the Company Integrity Management Standard.
- Verify competence of Engineering Contractor Staff employed in Quality and Inspection Coordination roles.
- Ensure that Suppliers and Contractors meet design and specification requirements.
- Represent the Subsea group in cross-Business Unit quality and integrity management activities
- Ensure compliance with document management strategy, especially for Vendors and Engineering Companies, and ensure consistency with Business Unit and Operation expectations
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Quality Management processes.
- Experience with developing project quality plans.
- Experience supervising teams performing QA/QC activities and third party inspections
- Experience in Quality Audits.
- Self-motivation and high initiative
- Good influencing, verbal and written skills
Education:
- Must have a 4 year engineering degree
Other:
- Experience in offshore oil and gas projects
- Understanding of stage-gated project processes
- Documented successful experience working with contract quality resources
- ASNT Certification
- Work location is Houston, Texas at either the Company or the offices of one of the Company’s prime Engineering Contractors.
- Occasional domestic and international Travel required.
