Description:
Join the recognized leader in geophysical data processing. CGGVeritas has openings for a Research Developer in our Houston, Texas location. You will have the opportunity to work with world-class research geophysicists in developing, refining and experimenting geophysical techniques. Development will involve designing and developing imaging software on Linux PC clusters.
Job Requirements:
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Geophysics or other related technical field
3+ years of applicable experience
Expertise in FORTRAN, C/C++ and MPI programming in Linux
Possess excellent software engineering skills OOA/OOD/OOP
Must be able to apply advanced mathematical operations and understand the underlying geophysical concepts
Knowledge of geophysics and seismic data processing would be a definite plus
Must have strong problem solving skills and effective communication
Experience with cross-platform development preferred, but not essential
Must have the legal right to live and work in the United States
