Description:
You will have the opportunity to work with world-class geophysicists and computer scientists on innovative software solutions for geophysical data processing. There will be exposure to demanding, real-world problems that call for expertise in many areas of computer science. The incumbent will also have access to sophisticated, advanced computing and graphics hardware. You will develop and support the seismic processing management database. The seismic processing management database is used worldwide throughout CGGVeritas seismic data processing centers.
Development will involve adding and modifying functionality to the database as well as developing stand alone applications to access the database.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science
- Fluent in C/C++
- Possess excellent software engineering skills OOA/OOD/OOP
- Experience with Fortran is a plus
- Knowledge of geophysics and seismic data processing would be a definite asset
- Experience with cross-platform development preferred, but not essential
- Must have the legal right to live and work in the United States
