[Company] has an immediate opening for a Technical Training Manager at its Corporate facility located in Houston Texas. In this role, the incumbent will manage and develop technical training strategies and processes that result in continuous improvement of the knowledge of the workforce.
Champion Technologies is a world leader in the production of specialty chemical products focused on solving oilfield problems related to the production of crude oil and natural gas. Established in 1953 and headquartered in Houston, TX, Champion has a significant presence in the major oilfield areas of the world.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
Identify training and development needs within the company through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and human resources departments;
Design and develop training and development programs based on both the company and the individual's needs;
Direct the development of and ensure the fullest utilization of technical training programs.
Develop 5-year strategic technical training implementation plan.
Monitor the effectiveness of training and development programs and provide technical assistance in making modifications for continuous improvement
Conduct needs assessments to identify new programs
Assist in design and implementation of new programs
Benchmark Champion programs with the marketplace
Establish record keeping and follow-up systems consistent with program guidelines and Company processes and procedures.
Coordinate and maintain budget control within the organization.
Fulfill the norms of QHSSE.
Maintain company policies
Evaluate the cost of training programs and maintain within budget
Evaluate any return on investment of training and development programs
Develop training and development strategy for the company
Ensuring that statutory training requirements are met
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (special skills, knowledge, ability, education, etc.):
achelor’s Degree
7 plus years of experience of oil field chemical experience and/or developing and facilitating technical training programs in industrial environments
Vendor management experience preferred
Sales and technical service process knowledge and experience
Superior communication and interpersonal skills
Keen commercial acumen
