Role synopsis
We are looking for people to take up several Financial Analyst roles responsible for delivering of all accounting and Management Information (MI) reporting for various functions in IT group.
Key accountabilities
- Ensure transactions and results are recorded, reported and forecast with integrity, transparency and in a timely manner.
- Support the IT team core activities; monitoring the teams time/cost allocation and recoveries for each project
- Update group reporting and cost management tool in a timely manner and reconciled to actuals.
- To provide timely and accurate IT function specific Management Information requirements
- Support the implementation, maintenance and monitoring of effective and efficient internal controls and processes including Sarbanes Oxley and Due Diligence.
- Collate and review Management Information with function and local finance teams.
- Calculate, track and analyse KPIs as relevant, ensuring consistency of definition, interpretation and method of calculation.
- Interpret and explain variances from Plan and Forecast
- Support the development of the Annual Plan
- Ensure that standards are applied and processes are in place for the timely, transparent and accurate preparation of financial and non–financial MI.
- Support the monthly MI process, including meeting all timelines, reporting of the forecasts and associated variance analysis, and ensuring that the forecasts have integrity and fully reflect business risks.
- Participate in ad hoc projects.
Essential criteria & qualifications
- Degree in Accounting and/or recognised professional accounting qualification, e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPA.
- A member with Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in Management Information or Financial reporting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
- Good influencing, networking and mediating abilities
- Ability to work effectively in real and virtual team environments
- Good spreadsheet skill
- Strong analytical, financial control and problem solving skills, with attention to details.
- Good understanding of Finance processes and systems.
- Good command of both spoken and written English.
Desirable criteria & qualifications
- Experience in MI Reporting in an MNC environment.
- Ability to work effectively in real and virtual team environment.
- Working knowledge of SAP or JDE accounting systems.
