We are now looking for people to take up several Accountant and Analyst positions, including but not limited to the following:
• System Support Analyst
• Internal Control Analyst
• Performance and Reporting Analyst
• Group Reporting Accountant
The System Support Analyst will provide key systems support and knowledge to the finance team.
The Internal Control Analyst will support the Internal Control Process Lead in leading the SoX compliance agenda. This role will provide support in updating the control process in the company to evolve with the changes in the Business environment.
The Performance and Reporting Analyst will support the Lead Analyst and provide Management information report on timely basis.
The Group Reporting Accountant will deliver finance group reporting services to the business assigned.
Key accountabilities
System Support Analyst
- To provide key systems support and knowledge to the Finance team. The role holder will support the development of reports, resolution of systems related queries, systems upgrades and the development and delivery of training.
- Implementation of any major and minor systems updates including license to operate changes.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of the key systems, ensuring all queries and faults are effectively logged and resolved in line with SLA expectations.
- Responsible for the timely reconciliation of financial systems data and the resolution of any differences through liaison with countries.
- Assist in developing and delivering relevant training programmes to financial system users.
Internal Control Analyst
- Support the Internal Control Process Lead in leading the SoX compliance agenda, Balance Sheet Integrity activity and the quarterly due diligence co-ordination for the Company
- Provide Internal Control Support to a specific process area in the BSC
- Provide active support /coaching / guidance towards the Balance Sheet Integrity for process/business
- Assist in work involving Segregation of Duties and other short /long term projects involving various aspects of controls
- Perform Self Assessment Testing to enable annual attestation of control effectiveness including identification and remediation of control weaknesses
- Act as interface between Control template Owners and Internal Control Community
- Provide technical control support / guidance at all levels in the company and also externally to Outsource Service Providers
- Coordinate Internal and External audits.
- Input to the SOx Due Diligence processes and attestation of the Control processes and the overall Management Assessment process
- Support Delegation of Authorities, Fraud and Compliance and Risk Management activities
Performance & Reporting Analyst
- To support specific business focused Performance & Reporting and provide timely and accurate Management Information to the relevant Business and Finance organisation
- Support provision of timely and accurate Group Financial Outlook forecast and plan data
- Support for developing new reporting processes and methodologies
- Support for sharing best reporting practices in team and with partners
Group Reporting Accountant
- Deliver Finance Group Reporting services to the business(es) assigned to the role
- Execution of monthly, quarterly and annual close processes on timely basis, and accurate reporting in accordance with Finance Standards and Practices
- Support the delivery of timely and accurate Statutory accounts and Tax analyses through liaison with Statutory/Tax Reporting teams and external auditors
- Each Accountant role is exposed to issues facing the clients in the portfolio
- Manage and Support Business clients in understanding General Ledger and Group reporting pertaining to them
- Support General Ledger Close Process
- Support the Indirect Tax Team where necessary
- Internal Control – Produce reconciliations to ensure the company meets its Balance Sheet Integrity obligations. Review and test control compliance
- Work with and review work of Outsourced Service Providers
- Fully understand and apply Group Accounting Policies and relevant Group & Finance Standards & Practices
- Provide Technical Accounting advice where necessary
- Coach, mentor and support other team members
Essential criteria & qualifications
- Degree in Accounting and/or recognised professional accounting qualification, e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPA.
- A member with Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
- Possess minimum 4 years Post-Qualification experience in accounting related work.
- Sound financial and management reporting knowledge.
- Have experience of group reporting and MI processes.
- Good team player and interpersonal skills
- Able to manage multiple/conflicting priorities with a strong track record of delivery against tight deadlines
- Possess analytical skills and problem solving skills
- Able to work independently
- Flexible and ability to adapt to change
- Excellent excel spreadsheet skills
- Good command of both spoken and written English.
Desirable criteria & qualifications
- Working experience of JDE system is desirable
- Experience in handling accounting/financial reporting of countries within Asia Pacific or other regions.
- Able to travel up to 3 months out of Malaysia
- Successful candidates must be open to work on odd shift hours
- For those supporting China, must be fluent in Mandarin.
