Salary: $70,000 to $90,000 per year
Job Description:
The largest independent manufacturer of high voltage generators in the world providing energy solutions to the Utility, Industrial , Marine, Oil and Gas and Hydro sector world wide will be interviewing for two AFTERMARKET SALES ENGINEERS. Salary range is $70-90k/yr TOTAL compensation.
Responsibilities:
- Support the client’s Aftermarket Management in developing the Companies Aftermarket (Parts & Service) business
- Develop effective project campaigns & plans for customers and target project opportunities
- Initiate Pro-active sales activity in the designated territory and promote the sales of spare parts
- Negotiate and gain contracts for aftermarket products and services
- Presentation of OEM parts, maintenance and major service proposals to operators, engineers and fleet management of electric power facilities
Requirements:
- Must be knowledgeable of large rotating industrial machines, along with supporting control/instrumentation and protection support systems – preferably electrical generating plant
- Must have experience in calling on major utility and independent power producer clients including operating plant engineers and fleet management
- Have a good understanding of service practices including both electrical rewind and mechanical repair activities
- Spanish ( or Portuguese) as a second language is a requirement, as travel includes the US, Canada and Central and South America
- This position will require at least 70% travel time

Describe you knowledge and experience with large rotating industrial machines such as generators and the supporting equipment such as controls, instrumentation and protection support systems. Rate your HANDS ON experience of service practices in the following areas(0-5best): stator? rotor re-winding? electrical testing? setting excitation controls as they relate to large electrical rotating equipment? Describe your aftermarket or services background experience as applies to large motors or electrical generator plants As you will be traveling to Central and South America? Rate your conversational Spanish and or Portuguese (0-5best)? Do you live in the Houston, Texas area? Are you willing to permanently relocate to this area? This position will require at least 70% travel time, will this present a problem? This position pays $70-90k-yr total compensation is this within your salary expectation?
