Job description
- Participate in Kick off meetings to ensure scope, vendor data, inspection and test requirements and schedule are well understood and agreed between the client and third parties.
- Make regular contact with suppliers via telephone, e-mail and personal contact to obtain current status of all deliverables and work with supplier to maintain or improve the schedule.
- Proactively managing all PO deliverables, status reports, production schedules, vendor data, technical queries and concession requests.
- Expedite internal resources to maintain schedule and return vendor data and technical queries on time.
- Coordinate with package Buyer, Discipline Engineer, Document Expediting Coordinator, QA/QC and Material Management group to ensure technical queries and requests concerning document approvals are responded to in a timely manner and hold points are properly scheduled and managed to avoid production delays.
- Expedite and distribute fortnightly Supplier Progress Status Reports
- Conduct field Supplier visits as required and prepare expediting reports on status of supplier progress in respect of field progress, status of sub orders, manufacturing, testing, preparation for delivery and identification of any potential issues and recovery plans
Must have extensive knowledge and experience in:
- The global oil and gas market,
- Capital equipment manufacturers,
- The procurement process for bulk materials
- Minimum 5 years in a similar role within the oil and gas industry
In addition, the right candidate must be able to investigate and analyse issues that are impacting timely delivery of equipment and materials packages.
