Job Profile:
The Intermediate Electronics Field Technologist will assist senior techs in the training of junior personnel and in new development projects. The Intermediate Electronics Field Technologist will work with management and assist the supervisor with miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complete repairs on densitometers, PLC Systems, pressure transducers, data acquisition equipment, depth and speed sensors, temperature and 3rd party products.
- Rebuild and wire field instrumentation as required
- Make changes to unit programs to correct offsets for pressure transducers and cal factors for pumps.
- Training new personnel.
- Carry out work on new product development projects from manager.
- All field repairs are board level or unit replacement repairs.
- Driving to remote stations or rigs locations.
- Training new personnel and field staff in the operation of field instrumentation.
- Information needed to perform job, latest in house technical information and access to Operators and user manuals.
- Accepted responsibilities, applied job knowledge, problem solving and decision making.
- Performance under stress, team work, develop subordinates, safety and customer satisfaction.
- Clean common areas as used.
- Contribute positively to support team concept.
- Enhance the Company's image at all times with attitudes and actions that emphasize and support the corporate culture.
- Adhere to the Administrative Standards Guidelines.
- Adhere to all corporate policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years Technical Diploma or equivalent experience of 5+ years Operational experience
- Must be proficient in the operation, setup, and calibration offive (5) service lines (Cementing, N2, Coil Tubing, Fracturing and Acidizing). This includes hardware and software (S.M.A.R.T.S and ORION)
- Basic wiring and soldering skills in order to manufacture in house instrumentation to the current Sanjel standards.
