Essential Job Duties:
This position is the focal point for integrating HES practices and policies into daily operations of a cross-functional team which includes operations and engineering. Responsible for communicating and applying federal, state, local, and company HES policies and requirements within operations. Responsibilities include: developing and implementing new and existing programs designed to promote improved HES performance, audits and assessments, training, emergency response planning, internal and external reporting, conducting investigations, record-keeping, land owner relations, site remediation, focal point for regulatory and other government agencies and conducting team safety meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of working knowledge of oilfield production operations.
- Working knowledge of health, environmental, and safety regulatory requirements at the federal, state and local levels, with emphasis on New Mexico and Texas.
- Demonstrated proactive attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers and the public.
- Experience in company safety and environmental programs.
- Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence behaviors to create a safer working environment.
- Solid communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proven ability to work with employees, contractors, land owners, and city officials to continually reduce safety and environmental incidents.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Computer skills – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Familiarity with OSHA 1910.119
