Description:
Our client, is seeking a Senior level Pipeline Engineer to join their team. The position will require detailed design and calculations, Project Engineering, costing and scheduling and ongoing operations and client support. Candidates with senior level experience in front end or detailed engineering of oil & gas pipelines and facilities should apply.
Salary Range:
- Up to 120K + industry leading benefits and bonus
You will be required to:
- prepare and review the design for new pipelines and upgrades to existing pipelines.
- prepare engineering assessments and economic, feasibility and risk studies using practical experience and engineering principles.
- prepare and review pipeline construction drawings, and material(s) specifications.
- analyze project costs, schedule and construction resources in order to make recommendations to internal clients as to the preferred alternatives.
- direct the work of technologists, designers, drafters, and external consultants.
- have the ability to take initiative, analyze and solve problems with a positive attitude.
- working proactively with little direction.
- provide Technical Support for Gas Transmission and Distribution operations.
- responsibility for compliance with regulations, codes, standards and guidelines as they apply to the design, environment, safety, regulatory and other stakeholders of new or upgraded facility projects and Terasen Gas operating practices.
- Subject Matter Expert for design and operating standards (Pipeline engineering).
Requirements:
- 7 years minimum experience as a Professional Engineer (Natural gas transmission and distribution facilities would be an asset)
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Excellent communication skills - written and oral
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability direct, coach, and mentor team members.
- Professional Engineer (Mechanical or Civil) registered or eligible for registration with the APEGBC.
