Description:
Our downtown oil and gas client is looking for a Contract Administrator to join their team. This contract administration professional will be responsible for dealing with counterparty contracts to ensure complete compliance.
Responsibilities Include:
- Daily handling of contracts within contracts system
- Generate contracts according to deal entry
- Receipt/review/response to counterparty contracts
- Handling counterparty responses to contracts
- Receipt/review/response to broker paper
- Review, negotiate and execute various commercial documents
- Ensure contracts' compliance with SOX and the organization's business process requirements; liaise with Trading, Operations, Risk and Credit to ensure correctness of contract terms
- Daily filing of contract documents into Digital Cargo Filing system
- File, scan and copy documents as required
- Assist with further development of guidelines, systems and routines within the contracts area
- Participate in continuous learning, attending seminars to keep up with industry standards and practices
Qualifications Include:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in an energy marketing and trading environment
- Strong understanding of INCO terms, pipeline transactions and railcars is an asset
- Proficient in MS Office suite, as well as experience in/willingness to learn such programs as E-Confirm, Lotus Notes, SAP, RATS, INCO Terms and DCF
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Customer focused, proactive and results oriented
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
