We have an immediate need for a Lead Subsea Engineer with a strong background in subsea engineering to join our client in [Location], Australia. Specialising in deep-water projects our client operates globally.
Responsibilities:
· Design, including systems layout alternatives, specifications and services , including intervention, related to subsea facilities for floating production, tiebacks to existing facilities or stand alone developments.
· Also for controls systems, subsea hardware & structures, riser systems, umbilical and flowlines and concepts for s/s processing, pumping and production systems.
You will perform all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter; devise new approaches to problems, as well as plans, schedule and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Your work will involve conventional engineering practise but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unconventional materials and difficult coordination requirements.
In addition you will:
· Prepare cost estimates for clients
· Make repeat & new client calls, promoting the companies capabilities
· Draw up CTR's in response to client requirements
· Provide technical guidance to designers & engineers
· Provide leadership on small projects and part on larger ones.
Finally you will be responsible of keeping abreast of developments and new technology in the subsea development field and staying engaged in the subsea community which will entail active participation in subsea related organisations, SUT, SPE, ASME and attendance/participation at subsea related trade shows.
