Job Description:
Promotes, plans, organizes, and controls an assigned product line from conceptual stage through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives. Organizational focus for the assigned product.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead pre-project acquisition strategies.
Engaged in the market with clients and company sales and marketing organizations to promote increased product bookings.
Provide in-depth sales support via technical presentations and discussions with clients during all aspects of design conceptualization, sales and aftermarket.
Compile from sales and SPD forecast bookings on a quarterly basis.
Manage the configuration of the Standard Product Line, Options, and add-on.
Archive and maintain the configuration of units sold.
Establish cost and design basis/goals and profit plans for the product.
Create aftermarket business opportunities built on installed product base.
Design a marketing and sales plan for the product, including technical papers, advertisement, articles, brochures, training, newsletters, promotions, and exhibitions.
With input from sales and clients, track and report on the market size and trends quarterly.
Monitor competitors' activity, analyze and compare product features and benefits, promotions and pricing.
Join and become involved in industry technical societies, government and business associations.
Create and define future related product lines.
Direct market-driven R&D for the product and solicit client funding where applicable.
Propose business improvements, efficiencies, acquisitions, and processes that add value to the product line.
Coordinate product alerts/advisories track with clients.
Job Requirements/ Qualifications:
Extensive industry experience with subject product range dealing with specifics of design details and features, client interaction and installation activities required. A related technical degree is a plus.
