Job Description:
[Company] is seeking an engineer to provide technical support for reservoir simulations done using Schlumberger’s ECLIPSE Reservoir Engineering Software. Experience troubleshooting Black Oil, Compositional and Parallel models preferred. Experience with Petrel RE a plus.
Primary Job Functions:
- Provide technical support and consultation to other engineers who are using Schlumberger’s ECLIPSE/Petrel software for reservoir simulation
- Collaborate with the appropriate resources (vendors and/or groups within [Company] ) to provide high quality technical support
- Work within multidisciplinary project teams to provide technical computing solutions, e.g., application upgrades, to meet business needs
- Share solutions within [Company] to facilitate global leveraging of simulation expertise
Job Requirements:
- BS, MS or PhD degree in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with ECLIPSE modeling or support, particularly with troubleshooting Black Oil, Compositional and Parallel models
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Proficiency in the use of Petrel RE for Eclipse pre-/post-processing
Knowledge of ECLIPSE architecture and license management
