Accountabilities:
- Apply expertise to provide specialist input to Energy projects, including where relevant leading the input of other engineers, to ensure engineering delivery meets scope, time, cost and quality
- Apply expertise to generate innovative and / or technically differentiated solutions to problems, to deliver added value for clients and a commercial edge for [Company]
- Check and approve the work of more junior staff to eliminate errors and sub-optimal work
- Establish and maintain technical standards to support quality engineering delivery
- Provide functional support and guidance to more junior staff to develop both them as individuals and the capability of the team as a whole
- Maintain own knowledge of new technologies and equipment advances, and disseminate such information as appropriate within the group such that [Company] maintains and enhances its ability to deliver for clients
Skills, Knowledge and Special Attributes Needed for this Position:
Essential:
- Professionally qualified IChemE Chartered Engineer
- Typically at least 5-10 years of experience of the design and build of combined heat and power plants and energy from waste plants.
- Expert technical skills
- Project management skills
Preferred:
- Experience in contracting
