Overview:
FASTTRACK (IE-009)
The Corporate Services Team has an exciting contract opportunity for an IT Developer. As a member of the team you will be concentrating largely on the desktop and database development space. Please note this is a 6-month contract opportunity. When applying for this position please be sure to speak to all the qualification points in a cover letter.
Responsibilities:
- supporting proprietary financial applications developed in VB6, which requires a sound relational database background in Sybase, Oracle, and MS SQL server (specifically DB warehourse, stored procedure development in Transact-SQL and PL/SQL, and query optimization
- development of reports and universes in Business Objects, workflow development in Informatica, and the maintenance of Unix Cron Jobs
Qualifications:
- must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- 5 to 10 years Database development, Warehousing, and Query Optimization experience
- 2 to 5 years Business Objects experience
- 1 to 3 years experience with Informatica
- 1 to 3 years Unix Scripts/Cron Jobs experience
- 2 to 5 years experience with VB6 Development
- 5 to 10 years proven business and technical analytical skills experience
- 5 to 10 years strong background experience in reporting applications
- 2 to 5 years experience in a financial oil and gas environment
- 2 to 5 years experience working in a team and independently
- MS Excel and VBA experience would be an asset
- solid communication skills
