Essential Job Duties:
Member of the Automation Technology Group (ATG) Automation Services team with a group of automation engineers and technicians who set standards and deploy oilfield production and plant automation. Coordinating automation activities with operations, IT, and ATG. Leading and directing the design, selection, commissioning, and implementation of automation equipment applicable to Permian gas plant operations. Supporting gas plant programming and configuration of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and DCS (Distributed Control Systems), and HMI's (Human Machine Interfaces). Providing first line control system support and technical training to plant automation personnel. Writing and updating procedures, drawings, red line drawings, and general information regarding automation. Maintaining conformance with all SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, process control, and instrumentation within the guidelines of the ATG. Recommending proper levels and types of inventory including critical instrumentation and automation parts and daily consumption items. Ensuring stock levels are reviewed and maintained.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Computer Science, Control Systems, Electronic Engineering or related and 6 years experience. Experience with: SCADA and process control supporting oil or gas plant; PLC, HMI and DCS programming and configuration.
