Brief Description:
Responsible for production operations and surveillance for multiple producing fields. Develop and implement production optimization strategies, oversee initial well completions, work over and recompletion programs, management of construction projects, production engineering support for property acquisitions, and work with production foremen and field personnel on a daily basis.
Detailed Description:
Prepare Production and LOE budget for properties and manage LOE with Area Production Foreman
Provide Long Term Operations Plan for Producing Properties . Set Expected Rates, Target Costs and Performance Criteria
Provide cost estimates for well work, production facility construction and abandonment
Optimize the Utilization of Assets including Wells, Equipment, Platforms, Pipelines, etc.
Take lead role in the safety and environmental compliance and ensure that the Company’s Safety and Environmental Management Plan objectives are met
Work with Land / Legal on negotiating production handling, operating and equipment lease agreements
Evaluate and recommend production enhancement operations
Manage production facility engineering, procurement, installation and removal
Provide production surveillance and recommend required operations to meet production and OPEX targets
Job Requirements:
Working knowledge of petroleum reservoir and drilling engineering and geology
Ability to work in a multi-discipline team environment where technology and individual responsibility are emphasized.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Must adapt interaction with a variety of contacts, both internal and external,.
Interface with asset team providing input to prospect evaluations, well design and development options.
Responsible for oversight/supervising both company and contract personnel performing field operations.
Additional Details:
Normal office environment – casual but driven
Occasional travel to field production and contractor locations both on and offshore
Disciplined, goal-oriented workforce
A minimum of a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering.
5-15 years of experience
Demonstrated achievements in generating value.
