Job Description:
  • Make planned visits to drilling, workover, production and construction sites and carry out regular inspections, assessments and audits in line with Company requirements to recommend improvements and remedial actions, in writing if appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain a DOT program to ensure Newfield policies and procedures are DOT compliant.  Audit as needed.
  • Participate in the investigation of all injuries and incidents.
  • Assist field supervisors with the implementation of Company HSE Policies.
  • Conduct/Coordinate all safety training for drilling, workover, production, and construction employees.
  • Provide relevant information on Safety and Environmental Policies to employees.
  • Track all HSE injuries, near misses, leaks, spills, training, etc.
  • Maintain HSE compliance database.
  • Maintain and inspect Newfield’s heavy equipment to include drilling rig, workover rig, hotoil trucks, and water trucks.
  • Maintain and produce safety and environmental statistics and records and monitor.
  • Work closely with Newfield’s HSE staff in developing programs and achieving safety goals and objectives.
  • Ensure contractors meet all Company requirements while on Company sites.
  • Develop the annual board and HSE reports.
  • Coordinate and complete SARA Title III reports.
  • Successful candidate must be willing to travel and attend quarterly HSE regional meetings. 
 
 
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience. 
  • Knowledge of OSHA, BLM, State of Utah, EPA, and DOT regulations..
  • Self motivated and capable of working with little supervision.
  • Ability to communicate, orally or written, to a wide variety of people, including employees, management, regulatory agencies and the public.
  • Effective team player
  • Trustworthy
