Our client is a well funded, diverse, privately owned exploration and development group based in [Location] , New Zealand. Due to the continued expansion of their significant coal seam gas interests they have an immediate need for a Senior Geologist.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will take a leading role in the development and execution of current and future coal seam gas exploration programs.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working within a small team environment, with the ability to take on multiple roles both in the office and the field.
As an early team member, this represents an exciting opportunity to lead and execute the exploration strategy for a small driven company looking to commercialise its coal seam gas interests.
Prerequisite Skills:
· Proven track record in coal seam gas exploration, including prospect identification, drilling and analysis.
· Background in coal geology. Exposure to New Zealand geology would be beneficial
· Well versed with geological / mapping software
The successful candidate will enjoy an attractive remuneration package.
