[Company] is seeking a talented individual for the position of EH&S Environmental-Air Technician - Midstream.  Chesapeake is a leading independent producer of natural gas and the most active driller of new gas wells in the U.S.  This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK and reports to the Midstream Air Manager.
 
Job duties and responsibilities include providing support to the EH&S Midstream Air Program. 
Will assist with regulatory research, project management, regulatory permitting, compliance activities and data analysis.
 
In addition, responsibilities will include:
 
  • Assist the manager with the acquisition of permitting and emissions inventory data
  • Assist with the management of consultants for the preparation of permit applications and emission inventories
  • Conduct reviews of permit applications, draft permits and operating permits for accuracy of permit conditions and limits
  • Develop compliance demonstration and documentation methods for permits
  • Assist with reviews of operations for determination of effectiveness of compliance programs
  • Assist with review of existing and proposed rules, regulations and policies
  • Assist with coordination and preparation of greenhouse gas reports
  • Maintain facility, equipment and regulatory data
  • Compile regulatory information to support field operations
 
Qualifications:
 
Requirements:
 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, manage time and prioritize projects to meet required deadlines
  • Demonstrate effective computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment as well as autonomously
  • Ability to work with both internal contacts and external vendors/contacts
 
Preferred:
 
  • Minimum of four year bachelors degree
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the regulatory field
  • Minimum of 3 years in oil and natural gas industry
  • Understanding and knowledge of Federal and State environmental regulations
