The Design Centre Manager has the overall responsibility for the management oversight and setup of the Design Centre in [Location]. This role reports jointly to the Head of the Centre in [Location] and the Head of Design Centre (ES ISDC).
Key accountabilities
• Assists the Head of Design Centre in managing the local Lead Solution Analysts, Solution Analysts and Analysts
• Acts as the local Design Centre lead for the Design Centre staff
• Responsible for the [Location] Design Centre setup over the next 1-2 years
• Responsible for the recruitment of Lead Solution Analysts, Solution Analysts and Analysts for the Design Centre in [Location]
• Responsible for defining the processes for how the [Location] local Design Centre staff integrates with the overall Design Centre staff (e.g. knowledge sharing, overlap of time zones, communications, etc.)
• Accountable for the development and managing to the [Location] Design Centre Terms of Reference and ongoing plans in alignment with the overall Design Centre Terms of Reference
• Responsible for ensuring setting appropriate staffing, cost recovery and talent development strategies for the [Location] Design Centre location – approximately ~40-50 [Company] staff with staff augmentation via Systems Integrators in alignment with the overall Design Centre plans
• Responsible for growing the process/functional intellectual property with [Company] staff
• Oversight of the [Location] located functional teams designing complex solutions – including one or more of the following multiple SAP modules, multiple non-SAP applications, multiple countries, or multiple businesses or legal entities
• Management and oversight of complex multi-functional design, deployments, and troubleshooting supporting a total of ~$140M spend
Essential criteria & qualifications
• Strong business process (design and delivery) and SAP functional knowledge (MM, SD, FI/CO, AM, IS OIL)
• Ability to manage geographically dispersed teams across two continents
• Ability to create excellent, cooperative working relationships within ES – specifically with Application Support and Project Delivery
• An awareness of [Company] business (Oil & Gas) and IT&S strategies (template management, application support, centralized deployments)
• Ability to demonstrate a clear track record of achievement in a similar role with specific examples where peers/leadership were directly influenced to achieve key strategic goals
