Role synopsis
The Treasury Accountant – Petty Cash is a role in the [Company] Accounting Department that reports to Treasury Team Lead. The Accountant has as key to provide petty cash services to the [Location] BU, monitor petty cash funds, Bank Accounts reconciliations, record all Petty Cash transactions.
Key accountabilities
- Work on the petty cash window to attend all personnel requests
- To record all Petty Cash transactions on our accounting books in an accurate manner.
- To Control Petty Cash funds and have funds always available
- To control all accounting activities undertaken in Petty Cash.
- To record and Control all bank transactions in an accurate manner
- To prepare and control cash forecast for payments
- To validate and clear reconciling items from the bank reconciliations
Essential criteria & qualifications
- An Accounting degree or suitably related qualification or working towards getting a degree
Desirable criteria & qualifications
- Excellent inter personal skills
- Ability to work with IT systems
- Knowledge of SAP would be a plus
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines
