[Recruiter] have an opportunity for an Exploration Geoscientist within a Global/ major Operator based in [Location].
This is a newly created opportunity that has been created due to growth and continuous new ventures & exploration work.
Key Responsibilities & Abilities:
Geophysical Interpretation
- Seismic Interpretation
- Velocity Modelling
- Seismic Inversion, AVO and Attribute Analysis
Geological Interpretation
- Basin models,
- Petroleum system models,
- Play analysis
- Sequence stratigraphic analysis
- Leading to developing a prospects and leads inventory for the company’s exploration assets
Exploration drilling
- Recommend exploration drilling opportunities
- Develop Well Proposals and evaluation programmes
- Working with the team to determine risk factors and associated sensitivities
Required Skills:
- At least 10 to 15 years technical experience as an Exploration Geoscientist within the Petroleum Industry
- In depth technical knowledge of: Geophysical Interpretation & Geological Interpretation
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Geology or Geophysics from an accredited college or university
