Role Summary/Purpose
The role is configured within the Team responsible of Compressors system design in [Company] Engineering Advanced Technology. It provides a direct exposure to the most advanced technologies used in [Company] products as well as a strong involvement in cross functional and highly qualified international teams.
Essential Responsibilities
The candidate will:
- Develop design of axial and radial compressor flange to flange systems.
- Be acquainted with FEA (Finite Element Analysis), structural and thermal (static, transient, harmonic, modal) of components and sub-systems.
- Conceive ideas to solve mechanical problems, assess design concepts with hand calculations and FEA methods and present ideas at design reviews
- Develop, in conjunction with mechanical designer, conceptual design, solid models, layouts, and machine cross sections.
- Support product validation tests (expected data calculation, post-processing and data matching).
- Coordinate design team to develop machine architecture and mechanical solutions which meet product requirements, aerothermal design inputs and overall system interfaces.
- Manage outsourced resources to produce technical documentation, analysis and reporting.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Mechanical -Aeronautical - Aerospace -Nuclear -Engineering Master Degree.
- Min. 7 years experience in mechanical design of machinery systems.
- ANSYS experience and ability to manage thermal, stress and modal analyses.
- Technical coordination of design team.
- Turbo-Machinery mechanical design (machine architecture and configuration, rotating and stationary parts design criteria).
- Knowledge of typical manufacturing methods for industrial machinery and ability to evaluate design-manufacturing cross interactions.
- Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
