Essential Responsibilities
The candidate will:
- Demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives.
- Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization. Involved in long-term planning. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within functional area of expertise.
- Provide technical leadership for all product design aspects from Aero perspective.
- Assure all component designs meet requirements.
- Support and coordinate with interfacing organizations such as Global Supply Chain, Machine Design, Services, Global ATO and Systems engineering.
- Support service programs, fulfillment, and NPI.
- Provide strong guidance and contribution to DMP and design to cost projects.
- Maintain schedules for the team's deliverables.
- Communicate progress to all levels of the organization.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- At least 6-7 additional years of gas turbine aero design experience.
- Strong Background in turbomachinery design.
Desired Characteristics
- Black Belt certification.
- Sound mechanical design and analytical background.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers.
