Job Detail:
To develop and administer marketing programs for an assigned area, developing customers to produce fiscal bookings in accordance with established forecasts and objectives. Provide technical expertise and training to customer accounts to assure positive customer relations and to represent the Company with promotions, sales and service of product lines. Participate in industry organizations, trade shows and exhibits.
Responsibilities:
- Generates bookings at acceptable gross margins, equal to or above forecasts.
- Develop efficient coverage patterns for assigned region as well as major account contact frequency with emphasis on project engineers, supervisory, management and field positions. Initiates contact with new/potential accounts.
- Monitor the activity of competition throughout the area of responsibility, ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of such data to company management.
- Confer with S&T Region Manager, Region Business Development Manager, and Sales and Service Managers as required with respect to business opportunities, sales and service activities. Coordinates training as appropriate.
- Maintain/assign personnel for contact with customers, particularly when bookings are being processed, to ensure continued satisfaction while at same time, obtaining additional sales inquiries.
- Reviews and identifies customer requirements and/or needs, recommending proper training, equipment and/or service.
- Prepares quotations along with required promotional materials.
- Evaluates the market continuously, remaining aware of competitive positions and profitable status of the Company.
- Demonstrates product usage and required training techniques to all customers, ensuring a thorough understanding of the principal and purpose of the product.
- Investigate and review customer complaints, making recommendations and/or adjustments as required.
- Remain aware of state, local and federal training requirements; recommend training modifications and improvements based on current/future local, state and federal requirements.
- Assist other [Company] sales personnel needing specific assistance.
- Trade shows and convention participation as requested.
- Participation in select industry organizations (SPE, API, etc.).
- Actively supports, participates in and maintains the integrity and on-going function of the Company and region’s safety program; ensuring a safe/healthy work environment.
- Performs a variety of functions necessary for the successful operation of the region, as assigned by the management of the Company, including travel to customer sites. International travel could be required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business Administration preferred.
- Six to eight years progressively responsible experience in oil and gas production equipment sales, service and business administration.
- Previous management or supervisory experience preferred with experience in local oil and gas production equipment.
- General knowledge of all types of process equipment and controls manufactured by[Company].
- Ability to use personal computer. Self starter with outgoing personality.
Capable of performing the following essential physical demands:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds from floor to waist
- Must be able to perform single-handed carry up to 15 pounds
- Must be able to perform two-handed carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to operate motor vehicles with current valid drivers license

General knowledge of all types of process equipment and controls manufactured by NATCO.
