Job Description:
We are currently seeking an IT VoIP Engineer to join the team.
The IT VoIP Engineer will be responsible for [Company]’s corporate VoIP network and associated server infrastructure. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: design, install, implement, maintain and manage Cisco Call Manager, Unity, Presence, and associated supporting server/network infrastructure. Further, this position will also provide back up for Tier I desktop/laptop support to internal users.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates MUST possess the following:
- 5-7 years of overall relevant IT experience in VoIP, networking, troubleshooting, and systems support.
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco VoIP platforms.
- Advanced knowledge in Cisco products such as VoIP Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.
- In depth understanding of Call Manager (configuration and support), Unity and Presence technologies from Cisco.
- Knowledge of Change Management procedures.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Windows.
- Strong project management skills.
- Documentation and testing experience (maintain Dial Plans).
- Familiarity with multi-platform environments (Windows, Linux).
- Working knowledge of network technology/topologies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to rapidly absorb and implement new technologies and procedures.
- Willingness to serve as backup to the Desktop support group.
Preferred qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
The following certifications: CCNA, CCNA Voice and CCNA Wireless
