Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Director of Supply Chain to join the team.
The Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of [Company]’s supply chain function including day-to-day procurement, tactical vendor relationship management, vendor contract negotiations and management, vendor scorecards and benchmarking, financial management (including credit lines, cash, forecasting, cost / price analysis, etc.), inventory management and management reporting.
Within this scope, essential duties include but are not limited to providing an uninterrupted flow of materials, supplies and services required to operate the business as well as meet customer resell commitments, maintaining and improving the quality of the products and services [Company] receives by maintaining and creating relationships with competent suppliers, setting and measuring standards for products and services procured at the lowest cost possible and minimizing inventory investment and loss. The DSC shall also achieve productive working relationships with other departments in [Company] including Finance, Accounts Payable, Sales, Sales Engineering, Implementation Services (Resell) teams, and Operational Units. The DSC will also keep purchasing administrative costs low through continuous improvements with new technology / software and electronic commerce solutions. The DSC is also responsible for managing, implementing and ensuring that Sarbanes-Oxley and internal controls for the supply chain function are in place and functioning properly.
Requirements:
Position can be located in either Miami or Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX
This position requires 25% travel to [Company] and Vendor Locations
Qualified candidates MUST possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in related area required (e.g., Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, etc.)
- 10+ years management experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, and Financial Management
- 5+ years supervisory experience
- Work experience demonstrates a proven track record of continuous increases in leadership knowledge and experience
- Strong communications and negotiating skills
- Exhibits mature organization and time management skills
- Solid decision making skills
- Ability to think strategically, identify opportunities and issues and presents findings and recommendations.
- Self-starter with strong results orientation and persistence
- Change orientation mindset and an ability to leverage consulting and influence skills to achieve objectives.
- Working experience with supply chain technology solutions, reporting tools and methods
- Planning skills
- Sarbanes-Oxley and internal controls knowledge and experience
- Team building and excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred qualifications include:
IS/IT education and/or business experience preferred
Experience with the procurement of telecommunications equipment, bandwidth, support and maintenance.
