Job Description:
This position will assist in establishing a corporate security program that ensures the protection of personnel, property and financial assets of the company. Through regular presence in the field and corporate office, this position will maintain a strong security presence while building relationships with all parties. The person will identify, recommend, help develop and deliver security learning and education events as needed, conduct investigations on theft and fraud incidents and document findings and/or recommendations in report format. This includes conducting vendor audits on a monthly basis. This position will investigate violence in the workplace, assist with reasonable suspicion drug testing of contractors, conduct contraband searches at Pioneer facilities, provide a ready resource for consulting on security issues, support surveillance needs, assist external law enforcement when required and assist legal and operations to complete due diligence investigations as needed.
Experience / Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field with a minimum of 15 years of federal or state law enforcement and security related experience and Fraud Examiner Certification is required. Must have a thorough knowledge of law enforcement and criminal investigation techniques and have experience working in a corporate security function, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry. Must be a skilled interviewer, detail oriented and be a good communicator in person and in writing. Good technical skills and the ability to use a computer as a tool (Microsoft Office Tools) are required. Must have a current valid driver’s license with a “clean” driving record. This role requires the utmost confidentiality and the willingness to work extra hours at times. Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
