The Measurement Specialists may be responsible for:
- Establish, integrate and maintain loss prevention policies and procedures for the Amarillo Pipeline Division.
- Communicate with customers, suppliers and employees over entire range of measurement activities.
- Provide training to personnel on measurement practices and policies.
- Communicate with third party's both NGL and Crude Oil products regarding measurement discrepancies and company protocols.
- Understand NGL contracts and NGL product specs to maintain quality of product and understanding of off-spec penalties and problems that can be the result of the off-spec product.
- Work with 3rd party customers to establish overall accurate measurement and product quality.
- Knowledge of chromatography and the process for obtaining accurate analysis of all NGL composite samples to maintain accurate measurement.
- Ability to read an analysis report for an NGL sample and how to calculate the accurate barrels of each product received or delivered from an NGL stream.
- Understand GPA standards for quality testing and analytical testing of NGL products.
- Accountability for oversight of Amarillo Pipeline Division Loss/Gain, addressing and taking corrective action plans to address abnormalities.
- Understand applicable API MPMS chapter as they pertain to measurement and loss prevention.
- Understand in detail Sarbanes Oxley and potential penalties and/or consequences of inaccurately measuring product through our pipeline facilities.
- Actively participate in providing technical support and evaluations on construction projects.
- Experience in installing, programming and trouble-shooting flow computers.
- Participate in witnessing prover calibrations, annual meter and prover inspections, prover ball installation, etc.
- Understand mass measurement theory and mass measurement accounting and trouble shooting.
- Work with the Transportation - Logistics Gain/Loss Specialist and Analyst in resolving Gain/Loss issues and discrepancies.
- Reporting of NGL deliveries and Gain/Loss results to the required recipients.
Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- 5 to 10 years of experience in installing, programming and trouble-shooting flow computers
- 5 to 10 years of experience with NGL Measurement Systems and Pipelines
- 5 to 10 years Mass measurement experience
- Strong Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working with macros within spread sheets
Preferred:
- Minimum 2-year technology degree in a related field
- Understand applicable API MPMS chapter as they pertain to measurement and loss prevention
- Understand in detail Sarbanes Oxley and potential penalties and/or consequences of inaccurately measuring product through our pipeline and terminaling facilities
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities.

- Strong interpersonal/teambuilding skills
- Demonstrates leadership, communication and organizational skills
