Essential Job Duties:
Performing production geology functions including identifying additional reserves and improving recovery for reservoirs. Providing ongoing mapping using Zmap, Petrel, and Landmark's GeoGraphix and correlations using OpenWorks, Petrel and GeoGraphix. Providing reservoir description efforts, participating in volumetric and reserves estimations, and providing geoscience support to a fast-paced drilling and development program. Planning and executing reservoir coring and core data analysis, and developing reservoir description. Creating 3D Geological Models for volumetric and reserves assessment using Petrel as a modeling package. Providing mentoring in the creation of the Asphatto 3D geologic model in Petrel for volumetric estimation. Involved in the correlation, data loading, and all steps of modeling using OpenWorks, StratWorks, and Zmap.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Geology, or related and 2 years experience.
Experience with: Petrel 3D modeling software, Landmark, Openworks, Zmap, reservoir description/core data analysis.
