POSITION DESCRIPTION
Perform all Quality Control / Inspection requirements for [Company]
Responsibilities:
- Inspect intricate parts (ex: subsea, PSL3 components, etc.) per relevant purchase order requirements, engineering approved drawings and [Company] applicable standards and procedures.
- Record all non-conformances and work in conjunction with Engineering to disposition them in a timely manner.
- Review and approve Material Test Reports to specified requirements.
- Inspect R & D parts, as required for testing.
- Calibrate and maintain all measuring instruments (micrometers, bore gages, Calipers, etc.), plug gages, ring gages, torque wrenches and pressure gages.
- Perform troubleshooting/problem solving and special measurement calculations.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to Safety requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post Secondary Technical Qualification (Technical College/University).
- 5 to 10 years of Machine shop inspection, measuring instruments calibration and/or other relevant experience.
- Possess problem solving and strong math skills; trigonometry and special measurement calculation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of applicable internal procedures, standards and specifications.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Eye examination to API requirements.
