Responsibilities
- Load 2D/3D seismic data into various OpenWorks / GeoFrame projects.
- Create surveys and projects if necessary.
- Load lines from user disks, or 8mm / DLT tapes.
- Load various well data into GeoFrame projects.
- Load directional surveys, log curves, tops, cores, etc.
- Load data from provided files.
- SEG-Y file manipulation.
- Project backups and restores.
- Project creation and deletion.
- Extract project data.
Education/Skill Set Requirements
- Post secondary degree is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years oil and gas experience.
- Candidate must have a good understanding of seismic data management and data loading.
- International or Canadian data management experience is required.
- Solid Unix/Linux skills are required.
- System knowledge is required such as Openworks, Geoframe, Hampson Russell, GeoProbe and Post Stack Pal
The time commitment is expected to be 1-2 days per week with occasional full time for vacation backup or high priority projects.
