The Treasury Team Lead is responsible for payment processing and treasury related matters for a few countries within Asia Pacific. He/She ensures that the internal control environment is effective and that agreed control procedures are properly executed with regards to all payment and treasury matters.
Key accountabilities
• Responsible for overseeing payment processing for various countries in Asia Pacific region with China as the dominant country.
• Responsible for forex contract, cash pooling, fund management and monitor daily cash flow.
• Responsible for compliance of standard banking operating procedures.
• Review bank and Internal Finance Accounts reconciliations to ensure all items are reconciled on a monthly basis.
• Review banking facilities renewal.
• Supervise payment team to ensure all payments are paid on time and payments are updated to the system on a timely manner to ensure system records are reflected with the latest payment status.
• Resolve any issues related to payments and handle queries on payment status.
• Maintain a good working relationship with external bankers and [Company] Treasury team.
• Acts as a security officer for any stand alone banking system and assume administrator role for Internal Finance Accounts.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining control procedures relating to treasury matters.
• Perform any ad-hoc analysis related to treasury as required by relevant authorities, external bankers and [Company] Treasury team.
Essential criteria & qualifications
• Degree in Accounting and/or recognised professional accounting qualification, e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CPA.
• 3 to 6 years post-qualification experience in accounting, preferably in payment processing and/or treasury.
• Good knowledge of payment and treasury processes with internal control experience.
• Hands-on experience in accounting systems.
• Possess experience in working closely with external bankers and treasury team in and Multi National Company.
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin.
Desirable criteria & qualifications
• A member with Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
• Working knowledge of SAP or JDE accounting systems.
• Demonstrated ability in managing a team.
