JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Maintenance, Reliability and Inspection TL but with a functional reporting relationship to the AzSPU Inspection Technical Authority (ITA). The Area Inspection Authority (IA) is accountable for delivering annually a technically robust and efficient Inspection and Corrosion Monitoring regime for their operating unit that demonstrates ongoing compliance to [Company] Integrity Management Standard within the Operating Management System (OMS), (as defined by [Company] Engineering and Site Technical Practices). To be the primary Asset focal point for the incumbent Inspection and Corrosion services contractor and other relevant 3rd party contract companies as necessary to provide optimum business performance.
Key accountabilities
- Ensure Regulatory compliance with local and [Company] Standards (OMS).
- Focal point contact for Inspection & Corrosion Management contractor providing assurance to SPU Engineering Authority (EA) / Technical Authority’s (TA) on technical delivery.
- Accountable for technical approval of the risk based Integrity Management Schemes for Topside Pressure Systems (corrosion & vibration), PSVs, including the fabric maintenance of piping, vessels and above water structure.
- Responsible for production of Inspection & Corrosion management contractor Monthly Performance Management Report (Dashboard)
- Discipline lead for inspection issues, including authorisation of recommendations from inspection anomaly reporting.
- Provide inspection / integrity input to assets turnaround programmes.
- Asset technical authority for deferrals or other deviations as required with approval from SPU TA or EA, within the e-MoC process.
- Assurance of compliance by 3rd party resources
- Inform BP Operations leader, or delegate, of equipment that is overdue for inspection and testing and of significant risk exposure identified by inspection and testing.
Essential criteria & qualifications
- University degree in Engineering
- minimum 10 years of Engineering Experience
- minimum 5 years of Leadership Experience
- API (American Petroleum Institute) 510 qualification
- API 570 qualification
- API 579 qualification
Desirable criteria & qualifications
- Material inspection experience
- Corrosion experience
- NACE certified
- Coaching experience
- Proven performance track record
- Strong communication skills
- Working with cross team issues
