Essential Job Duties:
Responsible for the supervision and oversight of the day to day execution of all well site operations for completions and critical workovers, all contract and service company personnel, and coordination with Superintendent, Engineering staff, cross-functional teams and HES staff.
Responsible to ensure that all work is performed safely, with environmental sensitivity, and cost effectively using [C]Oxy /C] policies, guidelines, and procedures and in full compliance with all governmental regulations.
Ensure HES compliance on rigs and at the well site
Coordinate and oversee execution of completion/workover operations
Optimize the efficiency of completion/workover operations
Ensure proper well control at all times and in accordance with Oxy standards
Review well programs and provide operational feedback
Oversee down hole operations and troubleshooting
Coordinate logistics, equipment and materials
Ensure documentation and reporting of completion/workover operations
Manage cost control of completion/workover operations
Communication link to key individuals, departments, and agencies
On-duty supervisor for unit HES issues/incidents
Oversee on-site contract management for all completion/workover operations
Authorized to approve Unit transactions within area of responsibility as shown on the Approval Authorization Matrix and assures compliance with Approval Authorization Expectations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent related work experience in completions/workovers.
Minimum of 10 years work experience as a supervisor of production/workover rigs in an oil field environment.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-discipline team environment.
Fundamental knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software and ability to learn and effectively use completion Management Data Systems (OpenWells).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Experience in HTHP and high-rate gas completions/workovers, horizontal well completions, multilateral completions and artificial lift applications.
