Position Description:
[Company] Petroleum Corporation is one of the world's largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies, with corporate offices in The Woodlands, Texas. [Company]’s mission is to deliver a competitive and sustainable rate of return to Shareholders by developing, acquiring and exploring for oil and gas resources vital to the world's health and welfare.
Responsibilities of this position include:
Analyzing international project finance opportunities,
Evaluating interest rate hedging strategies
Assisting with the financial oversight of [Company]’s pension and 401(k) plans,
Preparing quarterly updates for the Administrative and Investment Committee and Investment Subcommittee,
Maintaining summaries of asset managers,
Serving as an information contact for areas of responsibility.
Experience / Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following minimum qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics and 5 - 8 years experience in accounting or finance and an understanding of investment management.
Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with an emphasis in Excel is required.
This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills; the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and with external representatives; and the ability to work as part of a team.
The successful candidate must have proven analytical and research skills, and the ability to produce results under tight deadlines.
A strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are also required.
Certifications/Licenses: A MBA or CFA is preferred.
Grade and salary will be commensurate with relevant education and experience.
