Job Description:
Direct and perform the strategic design, communication, policy development and administration of various employee total compensation programs including, but not limited to: benefits plans, salary administration, job evaluation, merit and other salary increases, short and long-term incentive plans.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with compensation committee and Board of Directors to establish overall compensation and benefit philosophies and compensation levels
Research, recommend, draft, design, implement, manage, communicate, and evaluate organizational total compensation and benefits philosophies and strategies with a linkage to organization and department business plans and objectives in the short and long term
Provide consultative technical expertise, advice, and guidance regarding compensation and benefits matters to executives, managers, and human resources in order to support business units. Communicate policies, practices, and guidelines effectively to all levels of the organization
In partnership with the HR Business Partners, monitor and analyze trends and issues related to compensation and benefits within the Company and external market, such as turnover, recruitment, government regulations, market data/surveys, competitive practices, etc. to forecast the impact on the Company and implement initiatives to proactively respond
Compensation departmental responsibilities include job evaluation and salary surveys, overseeing and monitoring the company’s global salary structures, development of salary budgets, and working in partnership with other members of the global HR team to develop and prepare policies and procedures to insure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation.
Benefit departmental responsibilities include the administration of benefit programs to include: health, retirement, death and disability. Evaluate and recommend improvements to benefit programs
Experience / Qualifications:
Prior experience in overseeing total reward and benefit programs
Experience that reflects working directly with a compensation committee and Board of Directors
Develop partnerships with other managers and field personnel within the human resources department to create, foster, and support organizational change and success
Demonstrated strategic, management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills
Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
Provide exceptional client service and build a greater service mentality within the department
Strong leadership, managerial and people development skills
Excellent verbal and written communications
A team player; can function well in a matrix organization.
Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Physical Strain:
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
