Location: Houston, Texas, United States

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as internal consultant to Corporate management team, supervisors and employees on personnel issues that affect performance and business relationships.
Coordinate the recruiting, candidate screening and selection processes to proactively meet internal customers hiring requirements.
Provide guidance and respond to employee and supervisor questions regarding benefits, compensation and salary administration.
Administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
Provide guidance to supervisors and employees regarding policy and HR program administration and interpretation.
Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
Respond to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
Understands legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Train management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, compensation, performance, and sexual harassment.
Assist supervisors/department heads in preparation of performance and salary reviews.
Assist supervisors/department heads in terminations and disciplinary hearings as needed.
Lead the investigation, follow-up and preparation of EEO charges, Hotline calls, unemployment claims, and other employee complaints.
Perform other work duties as assigned.
 
Skills/Requirements:
Required Skills or Tools:
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Strong communication skills; written and oral.
Ability to organize and prioritize work, managing several projects simultaneously.
Ability to interface effectively with employees, levels of management, as well as vendors and service providers.
Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in interpreting and applying policies to problems.
Strong user of Microsoft suite of office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
 
Preferred Education/Experience:
B.S. degree in Human Resources or business related field required.
Four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Physical Strain:
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
